Geo-Environmental participated at the annual Infrarail 2016 event in April this year. This well attended show focused on the systems, equipment and skills needed for building, managing and maintaining all elements of the railway’s fixed assets, as well as bringing together companies active in the industry’s key sectors.

The event allowed Geo-Environmental to increase its exposure in front of a diverse audience as well as talk to existing customers and leading experts in the field. The conference topics were wide ranging including a series of presentations, in which some outlined the importance of geotechnical investigation in the railway construction system.

Geotechnical and environmental engineering is essential to the development and operation of a railway system. As an independent practice of geotechnical and environmental engineers, Geo-Environmental provides a wide range of consultancy engineering services, as well as recommendations with respect to the design of foundations, retaining walls, earthworks and slope stability.
