For all our services we aim to ensure that we:
Identify and mitigate risks: We help our clients to minimise financial exposure and environmental incidents by thoroughly identifying risk and creating a plan to design these out or suggest effective mitigation strategies
Minimise delays: We propose tailored and bespoke investigation and assessment strategies that are comprehensive and aim to minimise the delays to your development.
Protect your investments: We can assess the viability of a site prior to any purchase commitments.
Future proof your developments: We take into account past and future trends in climate to ensure that your developments and reputation stand the test of time.
Local Knowledge: In the South East, London, South West and Anglian regions we have undertaken more than 5,000 investigations, building up a detailed map of borehole logs, historical usages, environmental issues and the geology of the area. The detailed knowledge base that we have built up from these investigations, allows us to provide an informed view of potential geological and contamination risks to our clients for most sites within these regions, even before visiting site.
Because we can do this as a desk study we can provide a low cost preliminary site assessment which identifies the potential geological and environmental risks of the site. This can be used as a feasibility report for investments, whilst also supporting budgeting and protecting margins on developments through early identification of risks at the beginning of the lifecycle. This report could also be used to assess the feasibility of installing Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHP's).
Flexibility
At Geo-Environmental we believe that a flexible approach, backed up by rigorous quality and health safety practices, is essential to helping our customers keep their projects on track, thereby ensuring that projects do not make a loss. We can offer this flexible service because we closely monitor our resources, making it easier to reassign staff to meet customer needs and employ a flat management structure, which speeds up decision making, allowing us to quickly respond to customer queries.
When working on any development activity, unforeseen delays can happen. However, we also understand that our customers have to work in windows of opportunity where roads are shut or local businesses are shut and it is important that these windows are fully utilised to minimise costs and project delays. We aim to work with our customers in a flexible and pragmatic way to find creative solutions to these problems, minimising project delays and costs.
Reliability
At Geo-Environmental we pride ourselves on our delivery record. We promote a culture of reliability within the organisation where our employees are empowered and encouraged to take responsibility for their case-loads and are backed up by responsible management and structured working methods.
We extend this approach to our sub-contractors, choosing only to work with partners with a strong track record and that uphold the same standards as we employ. This ensures the reliability and success of our operations.
Value for Money
Geo-Environmental offers a quality service at competitive rates. We can do this because we keep overheads low, operating a flexible working strategy that limits the amount of office space that we require, closely monitoring staff to ensure that they are utilised effectively and controlling the use of materials and resources.
This approach is not only cost effective, but is also sustainable, reducing our impact on the environment by ensuring that we limit travel and ensuring that we do not use more resources than we need.
Experience
One of Geo-Environmental's core strengths is its staff. As an organisation we have been in existence since 1996 and have delivered hundreds of projects, accumulating a wealth of experience. We pride ourselves on recruiting skilled and experienced staff that strengthen and add value to our core business, allowing us to focus on what we are best at. We have a range of trusted partner organisations that we work with, allowing Geo-Environmental to bring in complimentary specialties when needed.
Health and Safety Record
Construction is a high-risk activity and at Geo-Environmental we believe it is our responsibility to ensure that everyone who works for us arrives at work healthy and leaves healthy. We take this responsibility, for the health and well-being of our staff, contractors and customers seriously.
To this end, we have instigated a range of Health and Safety measures and best practices and our Integrated Management System is OHSAS 18001 compliant. Our goal is to aim towards achieving a zero accident environment.
In support of this strategy, we have adopted industry best practices from our customers and implemented monthly universal safety statistics collection, analysis and reporting, ensuring that lessons are learned and the potential for a repeat of any accident or incident is minimised.
Environmental/Sustainability
Geo-Environmental believe in being a responsible organisation and where possible, aims to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. We therefore seek to minimise our environmental footprint by planning ahead, ensuring that all resources and materials are used effectively and encourage our suppliers and partners to do the same.
We have an Integrated Management System which is compliant with ISO 14001 for Environmental Management, ISO9001 for Quality Management and OHSAS 18001 for Health and Safety.
For Geo-Environmental being sustainable is not an additional cost, but makes business sense allowing us to be as economically effective as possible, meeting our social obligations to our workforce and the wider community, and ensuring that we minimise the impact of our operations on the environment.
Reducing Costs
Geo-Environmental's approach of providing highly experienced, well trained staff and adopting a flexible approach to our operations, ensures that we operate a "Right first time" mentality that is focussed on eliminating delays and meeting deadlines wherever we can. Our experienced consultants and engineers will work in partnership with you to minimise time and cost wherever possible, without compromising the quality and safety of our work.
Ethical/Diversity
Geo-Environmental are committed to fulfilling its obligations under the Equality Act 2010 and ensure that all existing and potential employees have the same rights as an employee of Geo-Environmental, regardless of race, sex, pregnancy and maternity, marriage or civil partnership status, gender reassignment, disability, religion or belief, age or sexual orientation. We operate a flexible working environment that allows our employees to work from home, or work part-time to allow them to better manage their work/life balance.
Quality
At Geo-Environmental we are proud of the quality of our work. Our Integrated Management System is ISO9001 compliant and culturally we have a strong quality regime in place. For each project and for discrete tasks we have method statements which describe how we will manage and perform each work package. This is backed up by strong management practices that check and sign-off work, ensuring management by in and accountability and is under-written by the culture of quality that we have developed in the company.
