As BIM has become more and more widespread, I have seen a lot of diagrams that look a lot this:
But where are the ground conditions in this picture? I would argue that long before you produce the above, it would be very useful, particularly for brownfield developments, to get a view on the depths of made ground on the site at various investigation points, identify solution features or identify areas of contamination – not to mention any subsurface voids, tanks and utilities, as these will have a big impact on the risks of a project.
