Technical Direction

Geo-Environmental Services Limited has built a strong team of Degree and Masters qualified consulting engineers, and include; Chartered Geologists, Chartered Environmentalists, Chartered Scientists, former Environment Agency and DEFRA staff. This experience is backed up by our use of the latest technology to support our investigations, a fully integrated management system, a range of health and safety accreditations and memberships to a range of industry bodies.

Meet our experts

Gavin RobertsTechnical Director
Mr Roberts’ day to day responsibilities include project management, preparation of fee proposals, site works, risk assessment, geotechnical design, reporting, remediation supervision and validation. Additional responsibilities include client relationship building, business development, consultation with regulators and supporting/mentoring junior staff. He has developed considerable experience of specification, planning, executing and reporting of site investigations for a broad range of purposes including: housing development, commercial development, drainage, major road schemes, infrastructure projects, bridge foundations, deep foundations, contaminated land, due diligence, Land Quality Assessments, Environmental Impact Assessment and Part IIA assessment for regulators. Additionally, considerable experience has been gained in a wide variety of aspects of geotechnical engineering.
Jonathan TingleyTechnical Director
Mr. Tingley’s position as Technical Director is to oversee all levels of Geotechnical and Environmental Projects. Responsibilities include managing many of the companies engineering services, business development, tendering, contract negotiations, site supervision and report writing incorporating geotechnical design, geo-environmental issues and remediation. Mr Tingley has gained considerable experience in geotechnical, geo-environmental and geophysical site investigations projects for; infrastructure; ‘brownfield’ sites including gas and chemical works; major retail and leisure developments; public sector infra-structure and over-water investigations.
Glyn EvansManaging Director
Mr. Evans’ position within Geo-Environmental Services Ltd is to manage the company’s Geotechnical and Environmental Activities. He has vast experience of geotechnical and environmental testing for both soils and waters. In addition extensive experience has been gained in the preparation of geotechnical and geo-environmental interpretative reports covering all aspects of geotechnical and environmental issues including shallow foundation, basement construction, pile design, roads, car parks, slope stability, human and environmental risk assessment, multi-media modelling.
