Thanks to Sir Robert McAlpine for such an interesting talk on how the Company has developed and grown over the last few years in particular. Many of the values and aspirations that they have on quality, health and safety and sustainability (amongst others) we share as well, and the message I take from this is that we need to keep doing what we are doing, but promote it better and more succinctly.

Also thanks to ACE for arranging the meeting and Hurley Palmer Flatt for hosting it.

They had great views from their offices – as an aside we do not know who the construction company was next door but we were watching their staff and they were very professional!

About Sir Robert McAlpine:

“We are a family-owned building and civil engineering company established in 1869. If there’s one reason for our enduring success over the last 150 years it has to be our people. They embody the commitment to technical excellence, client service and exemplary project delivery that make us the company we are. Our people want to be the best, delivering the exceptional time and again. It’s an aspiration that unites us all and it’s the reason we’ve worked on some of Britain’s most iconic buildings and projects. Along the way we’ve become part of Britain’s DNA, creating many of the buildings you pass by every day”.
