Mike Brown, Geo-Environmental Commercial Director, chairs the ACE Rail Special Interest Group. The Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) represents the UK’s professional consultancies and engineering companies operating in the social and economic infrastructure sectors. The ACE Rail Special Interest Group explores issues relating to the funding, design and delivery of our railways, supporting the engagement of stakeholders in the rail sector – everyone from Network Rail, the ORR, Transport for London, train operators and the Department for Transport.
“As the Chair of the ACE Rail Special Interest Group I would like to thank Richard Evans, Head of Policy at the Rail Delivery Group (RDG) for attending our meeting on Wednesday 29th Jan. It was a really good presentation and it highlights that we are standing on the precipice of some pretty seismic change in the industry. As we discussed it’s not all bad by any means and the outcome should be a rail network that is ready for the challenges of the future. With the de-carbonisation agenda accelerating at a very fast pace, rail has a key role to play in the decarbonisation of our transport system.” (Mike Brown, Geo-Environmental Commercial Director)
The ACE Rail Special Interest Group meets every quarter. Members include representatives of the following ACE member companies: AECOM, Alan Baxter, Amey, Arcadis, Arup, Cass Hayward, Fairhurst, GESL, PB World, Ramboll UK, Tony Gee, Turntown.
The Rail Delivery Group (RDG) brings together the companies that run Britain’s railway into a single team with one goal – to deliver a better railway for you and your community.
