Congratulations to Laura who has been appointed as our new Environmental Director.
Laura (photo above) joined Geo-Environmental in 2007 with a firm grounding of legislation and regulatory control remits from her time at the Environment Agency. Since then she has enhanced and further developed significant experience of design specification, planning, executing and reporting of site investigations including: housing developments, commercial developments, drainage schemes, ground improvement and deep foundations, land contamination, due diligence, land quality assessment, groundwater risk assessments, basement impact assessments and also Environmental Impact Assessments. She has risen through the technical grades, reaching the level of Principal Engineer, before going on to be our Regional Manager – West.
Laura is a Qualified Person under the CL:AIRE Definition of Waste Code of Practice and heads up this area of work within the company, including the production and review of Material Management Plans and completion of Qualified Person Declarations. Laura has been instrumental in making Geo-Environmental a leading player in the provision of Consultancy services and expanding our services offering and it was a unanimous decision from the board to invite her to join it as a Director.
