“The Conservatives have got the majority that they wanted. It is important for the construction industry that they use this to not only get Brexit done, but also to create a far more stable economic climate and that they reach out to businesses. The last three years have not been easy. There has been a lot of uncertainty and in the construction industry insolvencies have increased. Profit margins remain very low and this has had a knock on effect on the investment in the technologies and skills needed to meet the house building and infrastructure requirements of the country. Now that the Conservatives have a majority, they are in a position to truly address this and I urge them to take that opportunity and act as a galvanising force to move the country forward. We have all had enough of division and uncertainty.”
