“Geo-Environmental have been accredited as ISO14064-1 compliant, for reducing carbon. Our Environmental Champion Anthony Potter and myself have been spearheading this initiative which is aimed at helping us achieve Net Zero Carbon by 2050, or sooner if practically possible. We have had a number of sustainability initiatives ongoing for a number of years, which have seen us reduce our carbon footprint.” (Mike Brown, Geo-Environmental Commercial Director)
Activities to reduce our carbon footprint:
- Programme to phase out our diesel vans.
- Improving energy efficiency in the office.
- Making remote working the norm to reduce commuting.
However, we also understand that as an organisation we affect carbon usage through the contractors and consultants that we use and through the advice that we give to our clients – particularly with this we want to be able to provide advice to the developers, public sector bodies, consultancies and main contractors that we work for to help them to meet their sustainability goals.
