We are doing some materials testing on the Sea Wall at Northfleet, this requires us to use rope access trained staff to abseil down the side of the wall and take samples of concrete from the wall. You need both a head for heights and an understanding of the tide times!

A new year and the first audit of the year. We had a site audit by video conference with the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS). This was a new experience but seemed to work pretty well. Ultimately if audit by video conference becomes the norm it will cut out a lot of mileage and ultimately reduce CO2.
